2008 Asset Management Conference & Expo Announced
Event to Focus on Improved Ways of Managing Assets and Property
2008 Asset Management Conference & Expo Announced
October 22, 2007 – The second annual Asset Management Conference & Expo will take place January 22-23, 2008 at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta, GA. The event will help attendees learn about the evolution of how organizations are managing their physical assets and property for improved operating performance. Sponsoring Associations of the event include National Property Management Association (NPMA) and the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG).
“NPMA is pleased to partner with The Clarion Group for another Asset Management Conference & Expo. This opportunity for networking and education ties right in with the overall mission of our Association, while providing our members and industry partners with valuable connections to the latest in asset management tools,” said NPMA Executive Director Paul Nesbitt.
Implementing an asset management system has a direct impact on the financial and operational performance of an organization, and the Asset Management Conference & Expo is dedicated to educating professionals about best practices for managing their physical assets throughout the enterprise. The conference program will offer presentations from experts in manufacturing, defense & aerospace, information technology and logistics. Case studies will include sessions on mobile asset monitoring, fleet tracking, asset lifecycle management, and maintenance applications.
In addition, presenters will discuss the advent of new tracking technologies including radio frequency identification (RFID) and the latest advances in enterprise asset management (EAM) software, as well as strategies for systems integration, regulatory compliance and creating corporate cultural that makes asset management a priority.
The event will offer a unique marketplace where attendees can see the hardware, software, and service providers who can help implement an automated asset management system, and demonstrate how to make their technology investments pay off with improved asset utilization and track and trace capabilities.
Many progressive businesses are looking for ways to eliminate inefficiencies within manufacturing, logistics, supply, maintenance, and overhaul settings. At the same time, financial reporting and regulatory compliance with laws, such as Sarbanes-Oxley, are impacting the need to accurately account for the status and value of assets. The Asset Management Conference & Expo can help forward-looking companies better manage their resources, increase efficiency, improve operational processes, reduce spending and optimize asset utilization.
